The office field on show in Milan during the Salone del Mobile 2010

In combination with the Salone del Mobile 2010 that was held at the Milan Fair in Rho from April 14th to the 19th, various events took place around Milan, alongside to the usual series of “Fuori Salone” in the field of home furnishings, design and lighting, that have staged some well-known manufacturers of office furniture.

Since the Office Exhibition has been postponed to 2011, companies that wanted to show their new products did not want to renounce to give visibility in showrooms and specifically dedicated locations.

Judging from the great affluence to the different events, the result seems to be quite positive.

The companies involved, about ten of them, certainly enjoyed the advantage of being “among the few” in the office field but evidently have also been capable of stimulating the visitors’ curiosity promoting initiatives in an original and attractive way.

For some companies (for example Babini Office, Frezza, and MioDino) the “Fuori Salone” event was an occasion to present the new showroom besides the new products; for others, such as Herman Miller, Lamm, Methis, Knoll and Tecno, the meeting was mainly dedicated to the new products; for others more, such as Fantoni, the objective was to emphasize and highlight the peculiarities of its offer.

Always regarding office furnishing, a meeting was organized by Cosmit at the Congress Centre of the Milan Fair in Rho that, besides promoting the Office Exhibition 2011, dealt with the theme of the working space with images and reflections proposed by a number of speakers.

The basic thematic, developed with moments of discussion and fun in a room set up in a very charming and engaging way, was: “Creative Factory Office: The Italian Way”, the research project developed by Assufficio Federlegno Furniture in 2007 and widely divulgated in these past years. A research in continuous development that analyzes the relationship between investing in the working space and economic performance.
