The Office Exhibition: the office show returns in Dubai

The Office Exhibition 2010” will start within a few days, the Dubai event dedicated to office furniture of the Middle East and North African area that this year will take place from the 9th through the 11th of February.

Now at its ninth edition, The Office Exhibition will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and returns with the aim of showing high levelled products that help to create work environments of high quality.

Difficult to predict how this edition will turn out, keeping into consideration the economic crisis, but we can be optimistic if you consider that the market demand for office space in the area is not so limited; in the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) – Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar – there are 46 million square meters of new office space that are to be completed.

The Dubai World Trade Centre has expanded 25,000 square meters with the new halls making this space more and more spectacular and scenic.

Other novelties are the remake of the logo of the fair, the opening of new areas dedicated to technology and advisory activities, a show concerning the office of the future, etc.

Among the collateral events of the exhibition, mention is given to the “Student Loft Design Competition” in which students will be asked to submit projects regarding tables or meeting points for more than two persons using technology, workstations for team work, reception areas and office lamps. The event will be sponsored as last year by Frezza.

Unfortunately, respect to the previous edition, there is a big drop of the Italian exhibitors; actually, there will only be 11 companies participating against the 36 in the edition of 2009.

Specifically, the Italian group will be composed by: Ares Line, Arper, Camillo Sirianni, Della Valentina Office, Dieffebi, Frezza, Meco, Moving, Office&Co, Point Export and Unifor.
The decline of exhibitors does not only affect Italy; in fact, the total participants to this edition will be about 150 exhibitors against the 360 of the previous one.

Exhibition opening hours: from 11.00 AM to 7.00 PM

Location of the new Halls “New Sheikh Saeed Halls”.
