Osram OLED presents the installation “dandelion”

Until the end of January at the BMW Museum in Monaco of Bavaria, Osram OLED shows the installation “Dandelion” composed of approximately 1,000 organic light-emitting diodes, OLEDs. As the LED, an OLED is a semiconductor that converts electrical energy into light but, while the LED chips use a tiny dot light to emit light, the OLED panels generate an area of ??bright illumination. The luminescent layer of the OLED is approximately 400 nanometers – equivalent to one hundredth of human hair.

In the coming years, these light sources will find their way into applications examined as rear lights car interior lighting decoration.
