Mascagni in the Lagoon

The technical sector of the Province of Venice has recently moved to a new and functional office in Via Forte Marghera in Mestre. Mascagni S.p.A. won the contract for the supply of all the furniture necessary for the construction of the facility, in particular offices, receptions, conference rooms, open spaces and executive and operative seating. The entire project was taken care of by the Architect Dario Guerrieri who, in creating the office areas, wanted to take into consideration the current needs of the client and also future ones. The objective was to combine technology with well-being and for this reason we chose to create fully qualified work stations that allow clerks to interact with their colleagues, but at the same time maintaining their own areas for privacy and peaceful working environments. In the space planning stage, we wanted to characterise the setting of the operative offices by using colour tones that were different for each floor of the building. Light blue for the first level, dark green for the second, dark red for the third and yellow for the fourth level. The result is very enjoyable and functional. Finally, particular attention was paid to the creation of the 300-seat auditorium, the boast of the facility; the impeccable acoustics and the high quality of finishings used make it the ideal place for conferences, events and presentations. In particular, the speaker’s stand was produced using a mahogany finish veneer, characterised by particularly warm colour shades and a distinct grain to the wood.
