Since 1880 matteograssi has worked coach hide and soft leather with the passion and care of a true artisan. With the cooperation of the best designers in the industry, matteograssi has carried out prestigious projects that put it among the leading contemporary furnishing companies on the international market for home, office, and contract work.

MATTEOGRASSI AT BIENNALE DI VENEZIA Beginning this year, and for the next three years, matteograssi will arrange the reception spaces of the Biennale di Venezia with the project and the pieces of Franco Poli. There are three areas of interest: the Caffé del Padiglione Italia, the break area of Bookshop and the Arsenal restaurant (le Bombarde). The aim of the Franco Poli project is to create very neutral spaces where the people may take a pause, even optically, after the bombardment of interactions from the display pavilions. The light colour of the coach hide chair and the elegant furnishings of matteograssi, such as “Openside” and the brand new “Aretè” seating, have the important task of creating peaceful break environment, surrounding visitors in a monochromatic and comfortable atmosphere.
