Arcapita Project

The building plan for the Singapore headquarters of Arcapita, a multinational bank specialised in investments, has been realised inside the Republic Plaza. So the bank, 900 sqm alltogether, has been built inside this 66 levels, 280 m height building (the maximum height allowed by the National Aviation Authority), erected in 1996 right in the heart of town.

The building, turned 45 degrees from the ground floor axis to allow a great view on the Ocean from the top floors, is wind-proof and earthquake- proof. The republic Plaza dome, all lit from within, is particularly striking after sunset.

The project has been developed by Sima Malak & Alssamoure Design Associates, the same studio that has carried out the Arcapita London project and is nnow working on Arcapita Bahrain.

Following the positive experience of the previous collaborations, the Sima Malak studio has once again commissioned the design and realization of the mobile partitions to Nordwall Spa.

The LUCE partitions by Nordwall blend harmoniously with wood, metal and all the other materials utilized, and stand out for their stunning look. The glass is glued to the aluminium profile while guaranteeing perfect smoothness to the glass elements. In a bank focused in investments transparency and sunlight warmth create a trustworthy, calm atmosphere, incredibly important when it comes to making valuable decisions about the future. At the same time privacy is vital in this kind of environment.

The LUCE partition is the ideal answer to these apparently conflicting needs, guaranteeing transparency and privacy to a sober and smart design.

The outcome was such to make one think that working can and must be also a pleasure. Entering the Arcapita offices means enjoying those benefits Nordwall is renowned for and guarantees for: an elegant environment, full of light, air, space, imagination, freedom, transparency, flexibility and socialization.
