Agbar Tower
A team of 600 people and 132 million euros were needed to build this 144 metres tower by Atelier Jean Nouvel, which completely redesigned the profile of Barcelona. The extremely high technological level of the building can also be seen in the interior partition walls, completely made of glass, including the uprights between one panel and another.
Each module of the Stargate partition is like a glass totem, made up of a top and a bottom stainless steel profile, in a polished or satin finish, vertical ribs in low iron glass and glass face panels perimeterally bonded with a sophisticated mechanized system. Each module is positioned on a bottom track and is held at the top by telescopic head tracks in stainless steel with ample adjustment tolerances. The junction with corner and 3-way modules, also completely transparent, is secured with a system of guaranteed structural stability and of effective acoustic performance.
The door module is equally coordinated and follows the same philosophy : aesthetical quality, minimal frame profiles and a high perception of quality in every detail. Components such as the full height pull handles in stainless steel, the integral lock with cruciform key and the comfort closing system give the user the maximum of results. The performance of the partition as a whole fully meets the characteristics requested by the market segment it is aimed for : sound insulation of 39dB or 44dB depending on the type of glass used and accidental side impact resistance in accordance with the relevant standards.
