Siggi Group Spa

The building, designed to represent the Siggi Group Spa, groups together all the company’s activities in a single headquarter. Paying particular attention to architectural quality and to materials, spaces have been rationalized to achieve easier, faster and better work-flow. Architects have aimed at improving working conditions of every single employee: transparency, wellness, comunication, eyec contact, day light.

The unifying element of the building is that of linking and integrating the existing architectural volumes with the woody ground, though interpreting in a personal and original way shapes and materials.
Therefore a proper “sole project” was developed, to guarantee respect for trees and for green areas while integrating them harmoniously with manoeuvring and parking areas.
The Company’s welcoming and representation activities are located in the hall. There is the reception area, some waiting rooms, rooms for the staff training, a large showroom and a multifunctional room, holding a hundred seats. A key element of the overall spatial organization is the internal 200 sqm courtyard, which encloses a grass field thus allowing direct light and ventilation even to the inner offices. On the south side of the block one can find the pre-existing shed, completely restored and converted to offices.

The furniture chosen have an essential and ergonomic design, with a neat and distinctive look. Colours are light and sober and don’t tire the eye. The domotic system allows automatic regulation of arificial light in the offices, according to the amount of natural light coming from the large windows.Three large skylights lighten the stairs from above, thus creating unique chromatic effects on the walls and letting natural light in. The soundproof material enclosed in the melanymic panels of the partitions, and the floor chosen all contribute to creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

“Less is more”: designing the interiors as well as the planning external prospects, architects have tried to limit themselves to the use of three materials, such as glass, wood and steel, using to best advantage their individual physical qualities. The colour palette of the whole building is strictly limited to white and dark grey for the partitions, and black carpet on the floor. The only exception are the curve and synuous partitions leading from the old offices to the new building: those partitions are varnished in red, just like the doors. The whole colour project leads to these exceptions to stand out, thus red becomes the Company’s colour.
